Elementary school students vie for the title of best Drum and Lyre Dance group.
Six Drum and Lyre groups from the region battled it out at the Melvin Jones Football Grounds after the Panagbenga opening day parade.
The six groups and their corresponding scores for the first round of competition:
1. Baguio Central Elementary School, 25.40 -4th place
2. Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, 25.25 -5th place
3. Lucban Elementary School, 25.75 -2nd place (tied)
4. Manuel Roxas Elementary School, 26.5 – 1st place
5. Tuba Central Elementary School, and 25.75 -2nd place (tied)
6. Jose P. Laurel Elementary School. 24.65. -6th place
These scores account for 30 percent of their total scores. 70 percent will come from their performance during the Grand Street Dance Parade on February 24.
